Technical difficulties

Hi.

Do I have any readers left?

I am just dropping in to say that we are experiencing some technical difficulties over here. If you have tried to e-mail me in the past week it probably bounced back to you. We are trying to have that fixed. It was supposed to be fixed last Wednesday. It wasn't. In the meantime if you really want to get a hold of me, you can e-mail me here.

There are still boxes everywhere over here, and I am trying to get back to some sort of normalcy, but with the holidays and everything that is proving to be much more difficult than I thought. And I was going to post a picture for you...because I like pictures...but I just realized the husband took the camera to work with him.

But! On the bright side...because there always should be one...we are in the house that we have been praying for for the past six months! And we love it! And our Christmas tree is up...it's not decorated yet, but it's up! And we have food in the house, and I'm doing laundry so we will have clean clothes to wear, and I am going to be baking cookies this week. And! It's my sister's birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM!

So. All is not lost, just my e-mail. *sigh* I miss my e-mail. Someday soon I hope to be reconnected.

What's Going On...

Goldenfavors

Yesterday was the boy's golden birthday. He turned four on the fourth. He had been looking forward to this birthday since he turned three, so amidst all the chaos we couldn't just let this birthday slide by. Not that we were planning to anyway, but it being his golden birthday we had to really make sure that it was what he wanted. Those up there? Those are the favor bags that the boy and I put together for his party guests and then promptly forgot to hand out. So they will have to be delivered with the thank you notes.

Goldenartist

That shirt? My favorite shirt. He is our little unsigned artist. And! He received for his birthday his very own first guitar...which he calls a mictar. Love it. He was very pleased as he has been telling anyone who would listen that he was going to get a mictar for his birthday. It wasn't a request or a wish. It was a given to him. He doesn't tell you what he wants for his birthday, he tells you what he is going to get. The mictar was the only thing on the list that actually appeared, but I don't think he noticed that he didn't get the skateboard or the watches (a red one and a blue one). Really? I think the mictar was the only thing on that list that mattered. Thanks Nana and Papa!

For his cake he wanted a yellow cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate chips, sprinkles and peanuts on top.

Goldencake

I actually made the entire cake from scratch. I have never done that before, I usually use the boxed mixes. And? I did not like the cake, but I loved the frosting. I think I need to practice making cakes more. This one came out too dry. Anyone out there have a really good yellow cake recipe? Or any secrets?

Okay, well things will be quiet for the next couple of days as we are in the middle of packing our entire house in two days before moving on Saturday. I think we have everything set up to be installed so that I can be up and running again by this weekend. See you then!

Season's Greetings

So, look what the husband whipped out this weekend. This is our Christmas card that we will be sending out this year. Click on it. It looks better bigger.

That's the whole fam. Cracks me up. It makes me want to sign each card with;

"Merry Friggin' Christmas."
